The idea is that a large corporate 'Mafia' Circus is buying out all of the small carnivals and circuses. If you don't sell, they tear you down. Well, they tore down grandpa's carnival and in secret he built a giant-robo from the scraps of merry-go-rounds, gravity bombs and whirl-a-gigs. His granddaughter becomes the pilot off to wreak vengeance on the evil megacircus!

This started out as a concept sketch for a custom character for Quake4 but the image posessed me and grew and grew. Before long I decided it would look much better as an illustration all on its own.
